Selection should start with the process medium, inlet and outlet pressure, temperature, required flow coefficient, shutoff class, body and trim materials, actuator fail position and control signal. For modulating loops, confirm positioner communication and diagnostic requirements. For self-operated regulators, provide the set-point range and operating differential pressure.
